In this project spotlight, we explore a stunning bathroom transformation for a young client in Eastwood who desired a quirky yet classic mid-century-inspired design. Guided by her vision centered around a beloved vanity, we curated a selection of tiles that brought her unique style to life with a harmonious blend of colors and textures.

Design vision and inspiration

Our client, a young lady with a keen eye for design, shared her inspiration images, all reflecting a charming mid-century aesthetic. Her vision was clear: a bathroom that was both quirky and classic, centered around a cherished vanity. This piece set the tone for the entire design, and the team at The Flipping Co were determined to complement it perfectly.

Tile selection

We selected the Verona Mokka Terrazzo tiles for the floor. These 600x600mm matte finish tiles offer a chic and durable foundation, perfectly aligning with the mid-century vibe while adding a modern touch. The intricate patterns of the terrazzo add a sense of whimsy and elegance.

For the walls, we chose the Havana Forest Green tiles. These 150x150mm handmade, glossy tiles introduced a rich, vibrant element to the space. The deep green hue creates a striking contrast with the vanity, adding depth and personality to the room.

To ensure the design remained balanced and not overly busy, we incorporated white wall tiles, the Arctic White. This choice allowed the feature tiles to stand out while maintaining a light and airy feel in the bathroom, ensuring that the space felt open and inviting. The Kingsley range from ABI Interiors was selected for accessories and finishes, enhancing the vanity and tying the room together seamlessly.
